Mark is Chairman & CEO of Exelerate Capital, an advisory group founded in 2001 that provides strategy, corporate finance, corporate development, M&A, business valuation, IT strategy, privacy and security, and governance/risk/compliance (GRC) services. His clients include major private and public healthcare technology companies, financial services organizations and private equity funds across North America. He also leads the group’s venture and growth capital funding activities focusing on healthcare IT (digital health).

Mark has over 29 years of senior executive, financial, and operational experience and has held several leadership roles in leading public and private organizations. This includes EVP CFO and CEO roles at a leading publicly listed North American IoT company as well as senior management roles at IBM, Crownx Inc. and Ernst & Young. He has also led many financings (ranging $5 million to $500 million) and acquisitions and divestitures (ranging $1 million to $30 million).

He also serves or has served as Chairman, Corporate Director, Advisory Board Member and Board Committee Member for some of Canada’s leading corporations and financial institutions including many digital health companies such as:

• Executive Chairman at Canada’s leading single largest EMR platform (Accuro) company, QHR Corporation (CVE:QHR)
• Chairman at Canada’s leading virtual care and secure patient communications company, Medeo Health
• Senior Advisor at Epic Capital Management and Epic Canadian Healthcare Funds, a venture capital organization that specializes in small and mid-cap investing
• Senior Advisor at Catalyst Healthcare Ltd., a leading a leading provider of medication safety and workflow solutions in North America
• Chairman at Privacy Horizon Inc., an online service that provides the training, tools and resources needed for organizations to build privacy and security into their products and services
